HANSA-PARK Sierksdorf, Germany
Park News - (4/4/22) According to a post on Twitter the Highlander drop tower at Hansa Park in Germany has now added belts that run up through the crotch to the bottom of the OTS restraint system, in the same manner that you typically see them used on many roller coasters. Why this news is more important right now is that the Highlander drop tower is said to have come from the same manufacturer (Funtime) as the Orlando FreeFall tower involved in the accident last week and much like the Orlando tower, Highlander (which opened in 2019) features seats that tilt forward when the riders near the top of the tower, and on the surface it appears to use the same style seat and restraint system that as the Orlando tower. (You can see a video of it in action from 2019 by following this link.)
2024 - Nothing is known at this time... nothing added in 2023 either.

Fun Fact: Hansa-Park actually opened in 1973 as LEGOLAND Siersdorf, the follow up to Legoland Billund that had just opened in 1968. It closed in 1976 and reopened a year later as Hansaland, which evolved into Hansa-Park in 1987.
