FANTASY ISLAND Skegness, United Kingdom
Park News - (8/14/09) The latest update from Fantasyland confirms that while Absolutely Insane is still down and out, Amazing Confusion is now open after being closed for the last 2 and a half months. (8/11/09) A guest to Fantasy Island reports that Absolutely Insane is still closed and looks like it hasn’t been run in quite some time. So much for the plans to get it up and running again.. (8/8/09) I just came across an old e-mail giving off a few details about the status of some rides at Fantasy Island. According to this report from earlier this summer, the park’s Absolutely Insane ride had been sitting unused since late 2007. They had mentioned that they were working to get it up and running again sometime this season, I’ve I haven’t heard if this ever happened or not. (Anyone been by lately?) I was also told that the park’s other S&S ride, the Volcanic Impact Space Shot tower, which opened with the world’s only Tilting Seats, has since had the unique tilting seats removed from the ride. They also reported that the park’s Amazing Confusion ride, which looks like a Mondial Ultra Max, which looks similar to an Evolution, was suffering from some kind of major malfunction that was in need of repair. The good news for the year is that Millennium Coaster had received some new paint and that the park opened some kind of “Crazy Golf” attraction this year.
2010 - Nothing is known at this point in time.
