- (12/6/2025) Compagnie des Alpes has announced a surprising plan to transform the current Belantis theme park in Germany into “Parc Asterix Germany” (or rather Parc Asterix Deutschland) going forward. CDA acquired the entire ownership of Event Park GmbH (owner of Belantis) back in April 2025. They recognize that Belantis is in a region that is growing and has a good bit of land available for future park development still.
While the official renaming of the park isn't’ expected to happen until mabe 2030 or 2031, a new land “Idefix’ Abenteuerland” themed to an Asterix character will be ready to open in Spring 2026 and be the first introduction into the world of the Gauls for the park guests in Germany. From there I believe we will slowly see more Asterix themed additions come to the park in phases ahead of the official and complete transformation in the future.
This should be ready news for Belantis, as the original Parc Asterix in France just north of Paris has becoming more and more popular with each passing year and is often recognized for having rather excellent theming. Meanwhile Belantis often seems somewhat lost in the rankings of theme parks in Germany and is often overlooked in comparison to other fantastic German parks like Europa-Park and Phantasialand.
You can see a few more details about what may be coming to Belantis over at Themeparks-EU as well.

(4/8/2025) According to this news story, CDA (Compagnie des Alpes) has completed the purchase of the Belantis amusement park in Germany from Parque Reunidos for a reported  €22 million.
The deal is interesting, because for a theme park, the selling price sounds rather low since some huge scale single attractions at major parks cost more than that. On top of that, while Parque Reunidos was looking to sell off their US properties (which they just did a few weeks ago) there were not rumored indications that they were looking to sell off any of their European assets.
While CDA does own a few attractions, they are perhaps better known for their ownership of several Ski Resort properties, including 10 in the French Alps. The parks they do own include  Bellewaerde, Futuroscope, Parc Asterix and the Walibi parks.
