LEGOLAND Malaysia Iskandar, Malaysia Merlin Entertainments Group
Park News - (3/11/2023) According to a news report Legoland Malaysia has allocated RM40 million to put towards park initiatives that include improvement maintenance and upgrades to some existing attractions, along with the creation of some new attractions to help boost park attendance. Much as we’ve seen take place at other Legoland theme parks, a number of celebrations and special events are also planned for the Malaysia park, who expects to see their attendance levels return to pre-pandemic levels this year. No clues were given as to what kind of new attractions we can expect, but in typical Legoland fashion, I would expect them to take inspiration by cloning attractions that have proven popular at some of the other Legoland theme parks across the globe.
2023 - Hotel and Park Improvements for 10th Anniversary - (8/13/22) Legoland Malaysia has announced plans to enhance and expand the park’s attractions as well as refurbish the Legoland Hotel for the park’s 10th anniversary. According to Blooloop the refurbishment of the hotel (and addition of a new themed room option) is set to take place in the first quarter of 2023, along with the introduction of the park’s first water park festival in mid-2023. The park itself will open their new “shaded Miniland” in January 2023, which I assume will be similar to the new shade structures added to the Florida park. New 4D Movies are also said to be coming to the park by the third quarter of 2023.
