 Park News - (8/27/2026) Enchanted Parks has now officially taken down the Six Flags St. Louis sign in front of the park’s entrance and replaced it with a new sign and logo for the park… Mid-America Adventure by Enchanted Parks.
This is just the beginning however, as the names of all the attractions that are copyright to IPs like the Looney Tunes or DC Comics characters will all be renamed as well going forward. I’d also expect any generic “shared” ride names that may have been used at other Six Flags parks to also be changed, like “Ninja” and “Pandemonium”. Thought I’m guessing we’ll see those get renamed one at a time between now and the start of next season.
(6/11/2026) Rescue crews were called out to Six Flags St. Louis on Thursday evening as four riders became stuck about 120 feet in the air on the park’s SkyScreamer ride when it came to a stop mid-ride.

(4/30/2026) Just as I expected, Six Flags St. Louis has now officially put a Chaperone Policy back in place for the park. This version states that all guests age 16 and under must be with an official Chaperone, age 21+, and is in effect DAILY, all day and night when the park is open.
(4/26/2026) Well…. Six Flags St. Louis opened for the 2026 season this weekend… and for the first time is under the control of Enchanted Parks. As previously mentioned, nothing is really expected to change this season, including any ride names… as all those Trademark names for things like Mr. Freeze, Batman: The Ride and so on have been cleared to remain for the 2026 season. Those kind of bigger changes that will change the feel of the park, along with the renaming of the park, will take place next season.
However… one thing that may have changed is that I don’t think Six Flags St. Louis had a posted Chapeone Policy for the 2026 season. Or at least, I don’t see one mentioned on the new park website from Enchanted Parks currently (as of Sunday afternoon) on their code of conduct page. Unfortunately, it sounds like they could have used one… as opening day at the park went a little sideways.
According to various online reports, a large fight broke out in the park and in the pick-up / drop-off area outside the park on Saturday. According to some of the police radio calls, there was a “large fight at Six Flags” and “Be advised, about 100 people are fighting”. As we’ve seen at other parks where this has happened, the incident seemed to involve mostly un-supervised teens swarming the park in mass in one of the so-called “takeover” social media event.
The really odd thing is that the other big park Enchanted Parks purchased from Six Flags, Worlds of Fun, does clearly have details about a Chaperone Policy at that park on their website, and their social media account also confirm that a Chaperone Policy will be in effect at Worlds of Fun when they open for their season on April 24, 2026. So I’m not sure why this was in place at Worlds of Fun and not at Six Flags St. Louis, but I’d expect things to change at the St. Louis park by next weekend.
(4/24/2026) While Six Flags St. Louis now officially has a new owner and will no longer be a “Six Flags” park as of next season, that hasn’t stopped three previous guests from filing a lawsuit over an incident they say took place on the park’s Typhoon Twister waterpark in August 2025.
According to the news report, the three riders say they were loaded onto a raft and were injured on the way down the waterslide when the raft flipped over. Now keep in mind, it isn’t like they fell to the ground… they simply fell out of the raft and slid the rest of the way down on the slide itself, but they are claiming to have “suffered numerous injuries, including spinal fractures, concussions, and even amnesia.”
Typhoon Twister features two raft waterslide elements, starting off by ending a “bowl” style element that you exit and drop into a “wave wall” style element before heading for the splashdown pool to exit.
(3/7/2026) We finally have some words from Enchanted Parks about the future of the Six Flags St. Louis park, part of a 7-park deal that the company is selling to EPR Properpties. Six of those seven parks, including Six Flags St. Louis will be put under the management of the new Enchanted Parks” chain.
James Harhi, CEO and founder of Enchanted Parks referred to Six Flags St. Louis as the “crown jewel” of their new chain of parks, and has already confirmed that after the 2026 season the plan is to rename the park “Mid-America by Enchanted Parks” in homage to the park’s original name, “Six Flags over Mid-America”.
Harhi says that they will use the 2026 season to dig down to figure out what park guests want to see going forward, which rides are popular, which are not, and promises that the park “shoudl be seeing new attractions on a consistent basis”. Enchanted Parks has already reached out to Warner Bros. about licensing rights for the park’s DC Comics themed attractions, though even if they can keep some of the overall themes, they will have to change the names of things due to Six Flags trademark ownership of individual attraction names like Batman: The Ride and Joker: Carnival of Chaos.
He also confirmed that Enchanted Parks has a 40-year lease deal to operate the park for EPR Properties.
