PLOPSALAND Deutschland Hassloch, Germany Studio 100 Official Website Formerly: Holiday Park (1973-2025)
Park News - (3/31/2025) Fans of Germany’s Holiday Park are in for a bit of a surprise this season, as the park will be changing its name to Plopsaland Deutschland in late June 2025. According to Themeparks-EU, this is part of a €100 million investment into the park that will see new attractions, themed areas and characters added to the park throughout the season. Plopsa, the theme park division of Studio 100, purchased Holiday Park way back in late 2010, so it is interesting that after nearly 15 years they have finally decided to change the park’s name to the Plopsaland brand. Given that most of the other parks and attractions under their ownership feature the Plopsa name already, Holiday Park sort of stood out with their own branding all this time. According to ThemeParks-EU, there will be a number of new additions this season, staring with the opening of the Blinky Bill Zone in April 2025, themed to the brand’s Australian Koala character. The land is also said to feature three new family-friendly attractions. In Summer 2025 look for the park to open an all new indoor attraction themed to The Smurfs, along with hosting a number of themed festivals featuring characters from the Plopsa universe. In the fall of 2025, they say that the park will be ready to open a new family coaster from Gerstaluer, themed to the animated film “100% Wolf”. As previously confirmed, the park is also working on a launched Extreme Spinning Coaster from Mack Rides coaster that will feature theming from the Tomorrowland festival. It is expected to be similar to the popular Ride To Happiness that the chain already opened at Plopsaland De Panne in 2021.
2026 - 100% Wolf - (3/18/2026) A POV of the new 100% Wolf coaster at Plopsaland Deutschland can be seen below. The coaster will open to the public on March 22nd. The coasters features a unique looking layout that starts with a standard chain lift hill, goes on a long twisted run around the area, into a tyre-driven launch-lift that propels the coaster into a finale through a wolf-mouth themed tunnel an up into a spike track, before rolling backwards into a valley where a track switch will allow the train to return to the station.
(12/31/2025) Just a reminder that going forward the former Holiday Park in Germany has now been rebranded as Plopsaland Deutschland. Also look for the new “100% Wolf” family shuttle coaster to open this Spring. We had heard that the park may have temporarily opened the unthemed coaster itself late in 2025 for a few guest preview rides, but they will officially open it as “100% Wolf” with all the theming in Spring 2026 right at the start of the season. (5/2024) Look for a new family shuttle coaster called “100% Wolf” to arrive in the park inside a new themed area. This new family coaster will thrill with a track layout that is said to be built almost entirely over the lake, out to a spike track that will cause the train to roll backwards through the entire route back to the station. The new shuttle coaster is actually from Gerstlauer and will feature a 760m long track.
2027 - Xtreme Spinning Coaster - Planning - (5/14/2024) According to a post on Reddit a few hours ago, an interview with the CEO and of the Plopsa parks confirmed that not only will the new Tomorrowland themed coaster coming to Holiday Park be a Mack Extreme Spinning Coaster, but that “It will be more compact but not shorter in terms of length. It will require less ground space, and will therefore be more compact and intense and a bit more spectacular.” He also confirms the location of the coaster as being “along and over the lake”. There will also be a new restaurant with a view of the lake, that will eventually have a view of the new coaster as well when it opens in 2026. (3/29/2024) According to a report by Loopings, and as Screamscape suspected based on the original teaser, the new “Tomorrowland” themed coaster coming to Holiday Park from Mack Rides is indeed expected to be an experience comparable to the popular “Ride To Happiness by Tomorrowland” xtreme spinning coaster at Plopsaland De Panne. They also confirm that the new coaster will be ready to open for the 2026 season. Apparently Plopsa’s Director, Carl Lenaerts, confirmed in an interview that the Holiday Park project could be “a Tomorrowland coaster that will be approximately a copy of the one we have here in De Panne”. The original coaster is already considered one of the most extreme and popular roller coasters in all of Europa by many enthusiasts, featuring two launches, five inversions and cars that feature an on-board audio system that also freely spin throughout the ride experience, so that two new rides are ever quite the same. (3/23/2024) Holiday Park has confirmed that they are planning to add a “spectacular major attraction” for the 2026 season, in a partnership with the Tomorrowland music festival. If this sounds familiar, remember that Plopsaland De Panne opened the “The Ride To Happiness by Tomorrowland” themed spinning launched coaster from Mack Rides in 2021 that has been extremely popular with guests. So it isn’t beyond reason to think that something similar could be brought to Holiday Park.
2028 - Plopsaqua Haßloch / Waterpark - Planning - (3/12025) A number of future projects are coming to the new Plopsaland Deutschland park, and this will include the addition of an official waterpark named “Plopsaqua Haßloch“ that is currently expected by 2028. (3/23/2024) A new waterpark is in the works with a budget or around €40 million. No timeline has been given at this time however as to when it might open. (12/23/21) Holiday Park has announced an intention to look into the possibility of building their own water park complex as a way to turn the park into a multi-day destination.
