Park News - (2/10/22) So what does the future hold for Sarkanniemi? According to an update posted to Blooloop, big projects are already under way. In the near we will see the theme park request open a themed hotel, an indoor water park, add new IPs, Media World and a new “Xplore Park’ concept. Over the long term, the park is also looking into ways that they can become a year-round destination, despite the local weather keeping the traditional amusement park’s season rather short (May to September).
 2026 - Konect - (6/6/2026) Sarkanniemi has opened their new Vekoma family coaster, Konect. The highly dynamic layout serves as a grand tribute to the city's transport history, stretching right across the existing Troika, X, and Tyrsky attraction footprints. Riders skim closely along the natural shoreline of Lake Näsijärvi while catching sweeping, panoramic views of the famous Näsinneula observation tower.
