- (12/16/2024) Triotech announced that the company would be creating a new kind of dark ride for several of the SEVEN entertainment centers being built in Saudi Arabia. The rides in question will be created for a new of SEVEN’s smaller scale installations that will revolve around the theme of science, to be known as SEVEN’s Discovery Centers.
Triotech’s new dark ride concept will feature a single long vehicle that will hold a long bench of 24 riders seated back-to-back while moving sideways through the attraction space. The enclosed vehicle space will include a number of built-in special effects systems to create the sensation of wind, smoke, heat, scents and more.
The theme of this new dark ride is not known, and is not to be confused with the three previously announced interactive dark rides Triotech is also working on for SEVEN that will feature a Transformers theme.

(11/30/2024) An in depth report about the creation of the upcoming SEVEN themed entertainment centers in Saudi Arabia has been posted by Blooloop this week. Seven’s Chief Attractions Officer, Damien Latham, shares insights into the development of the SEVEN sites, their objectives and vision for how they will transform “the entertainment sector in the Kingdom”.
This includes an deep dive into the partnership with Hasbro to use and evolve the Transformers brand for SEVEN, which will see the world’s first S&S Axis coaster brought to life as an indoor LSM launch coaster flying through a themed environment. This was announced at IAAPA last year, 2023, and currently they note that the construction on the first Axis coasters is now 80% complete at the Al Hamra site in Riyadh.
They also note that the Transformers themed Axis coasters will not be the same at each location going forward. In an effort to encourage visitors to come to the other SEVEN locations, the layout and elements will be entirely different. The first version opening in Riyadh will feature a double-launch, two inversions, stand 14 meters tall and 238 meters long. A future version at the Dammam location will instead feature a 45-degree lift hill and a 261 meter long track, while the Jeffah version will instead feature a triple-launch system and an indoor vertical spike element.
The Transfomers themed areas of the parks will also feature a dark ride created with Triotech and Transformers themed bumper cars that will include an “Energon link” element to enhance the ride experience, which may act like some sort of temporary power-up for the Autobot and Decepticon themed ride vehicles. There will also be themed dining and retail areas that will transport guests to Cybertron themed locations such as The Ark or a Space Bridge.
The SEVEN centers will be about more than just entertainment, though they are dedicating 75-80% of the available space for entertainment use, with “an open, ungated format that allows guests to explore without paying a general admission fee.”

(10/13/2024) A new Hot Wheels themed e-karting race track attraction was announced for the SEVEN entertainment centers coming to Saudi Arabia. The experience will feature a themed racing experience, including what appears to be a pre-race briefing area to introduce the track layout and safety rules to all the racers. Look for these Hot Wheels e-kart tracks to be included in the sites located at: Riyadh, Makkan, Taif, Al Madinah, Tabuk and Jazan.

(9/7/2024) Seven has now partnered with WhiteWater’s FlowRider division to install Flow House stationary surf wave attractions at three of the upcoming Seven entertainment centers coming to Saudi Arabia. The locations adding the surf waves will be in Riyadh, Jeddah and Al Khobar. According to the update at Blooloop, the installations will include more than just the wave pool, but will also include tropical themed settings complete with venues for live music, retail opportunities and an upscale dining area.
In total, the plan is to build 21 different “Seven” centers across Saudi Arabia, and they’ve already signed deals that will allow for IPs to be in use from Hasbro, Mattel and Warner Bros. Discovery for a number of properties. This includes the Transformers brand, which was already confirmed to be used for a unique S&S Axis Roller Coaster installation at a few locations.

(11/27/2023) According to a post on the IAAPA news site, they confirm that the three new SEVEN attraction locations that will be receiving the new Transformers themed S&S Axis Coasters will be Riyadh, Dammam, and Jeddah.

(11/21/2023) As rumored the new Transformers roller coaster from S&S going to select “Seven” locations in Saudi Arabia will indeed be the world’s first S&S AXIS roller coasters! The official name of the ride is “Transformers: Prepare for Battle”, which will feature a small LSM launch (35mph) into an all indoor compact course. Due to the limited size of the ride, the riders will actually be launched through the course twice before coming to a stop.
Right now they’re just confirming the first one, but Screamscape sources tell us that they are actually contracted to build at least three of these for Seven.

(11/14/2023) S&S has posted a teaser on their social media showing off a crazy looking themed roller coaster track segment with the message “Prepare for Battle…” and tags to Saudi’s new SEVEN attractions and @TransformersOfficial. Previously Seven did announced that they were planning to have official Transformers themed areas and attractions, and now with S&S’s involvement, it looks like we have a coaster in the works. The only question is, are we looking at a regular steel coaster, a launched coaster, or something entirely new, like perhaps the first Axis Coaster. Apparently they are going to announce it today (Tuesday) at IAAPA at 5:05pm.

(9/22/2023) Over the foreseeable future, when it comes to building family entertainment centers in Saudi Arabian, you will become familiar with the company, “SEVEN”, also known as “Saudi Entertainment Ventures”. The group has begun construction on several different attraction sites across the region, with more to come, in addition to inking licensing deals with Hasbro, Mattel, and Warner Brothers.
According to the official website they list locations in the works for Riyadh’s “Al Hamra” district, another in Tabuk, the Yanbu site on Al-Nawras Island and another one Almadinah to be located within King Fahad Central Parks. Each site will be different and may offer a different set of attractions, such as the previously mentioned Transformers ride going to the Riyadh location.
An animated video showing off the look of the Yanbu site can be seen below followed by a time-lapse construction video of what appears to be work starting on what I believe is the same site.

(5/15/2023) According to Blooloop, Saudi Entertainment Ventures (Seven) has announced plans to build and operate the world’s first Transformers themed indoor entertainment centers in Saudi Arabia. Currently three are planned to open at first, with the first to open in Ah Hamra, Riyadh. The attraction centers will be approximately 10,000 square-meter in size and feature several state-of-the-art rides and immersive experiences.

(12/5/2022) “SEVEN”, which is a wholly owned subsidiary of the Public Investment Fund in Saudi Arabia, is set to invest SAR 50 Billion ($13 billion US) in the development of up to 21 new entertainment destinations across 14 different cities. The first of which has now begin construction as part of the Al Hamra district of Riyadh. SEVEN has already secured partnerships for various IPs from Mattel, Hasbro and Warner Bros that will be used for these new attraction centers.
