Park News - (9/15/20) Ever since Warner Bros. World in Abu Dhabi opened I’ve been wanting to find a POV video of their Batman: Knight Flight attraction, said to be very similar in concept to Universal’s Harry Potter and the Forbidden Journey ride system. At long last a video has been discovered, so check it out for yourself below.
???? - Harry Potter Attraction - (11/13/22) Warner Bros. World Abu Dhabi is now working on plans to open the indoor theme park’s first expansion, which will be themed to the Harry Potter films. Unlike all the existing themed lands and attractions in the park that are based around animated or comic book IPs, this will be the park’s first attraction based entirely around a live action Warner Bros. film series. Miral has not announced an opening date for the new land yet, or any further details about what kind of attraction or ride will be part of the experience. What we do know is that it wont be anything like what we’ve already seen built at any of the Universal theme parks, and will have to be something completely unique to Warner Bros. World Abu Dhabi.
More on this when we find out…
2021 - WB Abu Dhabi Hotel - (10/19/21) Miral is set to open the world’s first Warner Bros. Hotel on November 11, 2021 in Abu Dhabi’s Yas Island resort district, next door to the Warner Bros World Abu Dhabi theme park. The new hotel will be operated by Hilton and will feature a collection of famous artifacts from the Warner Bros. studios archives including the fountain from Friends and the player Piano from HBO’s Westworld that will actually perform for diners in one of the hotel’s five restaurants.
The hotel will be in the heart of Miral’s theme park and entertainment district on Yas Island, with Ferrari World, Yas Waterworld and CLYMB Abu Dhabi all in the area, along with the brand new SeaWorld Abu Dhabi on track to open in 2022.
(12/10/19) Confirming some earlier rumors, the world’s first WB hotel will open in Abu Dhabi in 2021. The new 250-room hotel, officially just called “WB Abu Dhabi” will open next to the Warner Bros. World Abu Dhabi indoor theme park that opened last year and is expected to feature restaurants, a spa, a rooftop pool and more, with a decor that will “pay tribute” to the studios fantastic entertainment history. According to Forbes, the $112 million project is being funded by Miral Asset Management.
(11/8/18) According to this report the Warner Bros World theme park in Abu Dhabi will soon build a new hotel that will be built and semi-connected to the theme park. If all goes as planned the new hotel property should be open by the end of 2020, with 156 rooms and “156 apartments”.
